 "ACADEMIC FOUNDATIONS

ECONOMICS"

"What the heck is Economics?"

Economics is NOT the "study of money".....Economics is a social science that studies the allocation, production, distribution, and consumption of goods and services.  Now doesn't that sound much more fun than studying money!?  The term economics comes from the Greek for oikos (house) and nomos (custom or law), hence "rules of the house(hold)."

"How do we study Economics?"

The year long course will be divided among semester lines to study the two major subsets of:

MACROECONOMICS

MICROECONOMICS
